The Story of "If I Had a Boat Story"

There are a ton of songs about boats. People on boats. Parties on boats. Hoes on boats. But there’s only one song I know of about a Pony on a boat. Put this one in the “songs I wish I’d written” category. Better yet…I’m actually fine that Lyle Lovette went through the process of coming up with this wild, wacky, fun-loving, cheer-you-up song and I just gotta sit back and enjoy “If I Had a Boat”. I started my career like most do - singing cover songs. Some of those songs I loved, and some of them I’d be fine never hearing again. As I started to write and produce my own material, I never lost the love for lending a voice to a good song that wasn’t mine. This song has always been one of my favorite stuck-in-my-head tunes. I always find this song randomly in my head, and it happens mostly when I’m having a good day. So here’s this song to help you along.
